The Norwegian Customs Administration has officially launched the Digitoll Portal, which is now available for use by actors in the transport and logistics chain.
The portal is a new digital platform designed to simplify how businesses meet their reporting and information obligations, and also improve the flow of information between different parties.
Reporting and information obligations means that Norwegian Customs must receive details about:
In many cases, different actors are responsible for submitting different parts of this information.
For example, one party may submit data about the goods, while another provides transport details. In such situations, it is important that the submitted information can be connected so that Customs can process it correctly.
The main purpose of the Digitoll Portal is to give businesses an overview of the information they have submitted, and to allow them to connect this information with data submitted by other actors.
The platform is web-based, allowing users to log in easily through a browser without the need for additional software.
For example, a carrier can log into the portal and view the transport information they have submitted. The same carrier can also see what a freight forwarder has submitted regarding the goods. Within the portal, the carrier can link the transport information with the goods information. This connection ensures that Norwegian Customs can process the combined data in line with the reporting requirements.

Requirements for use
To open Customs clearance in the Digitoll Portal, users must have access to the service through Altinn and have the necessary permissions.
The portal is developed for Norwegian actors in the logistics and transport sector. Although it does not display sensitive business information, companies are still responsible for ensuring that data is only shared with relevant partners.
