New procedures for post-declaration of goods from March 1, 2024

From March 1, 2024, the Norwegian Customs Authority is changing the procedures for post-declaration of goods, both for imports and exports.

Post-declaration of goods must be declared in #TVINN from this date, and it will no longer be possible to submit applications for post-declaration in #Altinn.

This results in that companies must contact a customs representative for post-declaration of goods.
Viabaltic Norge AS has permission for electronic submission in TVINN. Please feel free to contact us if you need assistance.

Post – declaration of goods is used when the consignee or their representative wishes to post-declare goods that should have been declared and customs cleared upon import. It should also be used when a declaration has been submitted in TVINN before import, but where this has not been customs processed/cleared, for example because the driver has not stopped at the border crossing to report and present the goods.

Post-declaration does not apply to:
– Applications for changes (correction of previously accepted import and export declarations)

– Goods that are registered by a customs warehouse holder and delivered directly to the consignee must be declared with the assigned goods number. These declarations must be sent to the Follow-up Department as usual, even if the 10-day deadline has passed.

To properly prepare post – declaration of goods, from March 1, 2024 it will be needed to use the following dispatch units in TVINN:
– 45 30 06 for imports
– 45 30 96 for exports
