Reliability and price rank first among decisive criteria for selecting a transport company.
The editorial teams of Logistikk Inside and Moderne Transport conducted the research, identifying the criteria that goods owners consider most important, when choosing a transport company. The survey was conducted on a group of 50 goods owners with a total turnover amounting to 328 billion NOK.The results of the study were presented at this year’s conference in Oslo, «Logistikk 23.»
The study revealed that among the 11 decisive criteria for selecting a transport company, reliability and price ranked first.
Criteria related to technology are not as important. The ability to track goods in real-time and the fact that «the carrier keeps up with new technologies» ranked 8th and 9th, respectively, in terms of importance in the ranking.
The least important criterion is a «good personal relationship.»
Another characteristic of this year’s study is that the willingness to pay for sustainable development has slightly decreased. Last year, the average company stated in the survey that they were willing to accept a price increase of 10.2% for climate-neutral transport. This year, the percentage stands at 8.8%.
These results are very interesting and carry significant importance for the analysis of transport companies as they provide essential insights into customer priorities.
